​Statement of Diversity and Inclusion

Adapted from AAEM’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee Mission

We will:

  • strive to increase diversity and decrease inequality within the field and practice of emergency medicine.
  • promote racial, gender and ethnic diversity within the residency program.
  • educate peers regarding the impact of explicit and implicit bias on clinical practice and our ability to care equitably for all of our patients.
  • regularly engage and revisit discussions of diversity and inclusion, particularly within the didactic conference setting
